Elbow sleeve sizing

How to choose your elbow sleeve size

Measure the joint with the arm slightly flexed — a straight arm measures smaller than the one you press with.

How to measure

  1. Step 1 Measure

Measure circumference of the elbow joint while slightly flexed. About 30 degree.

  2. Step 2 Record

Tighten the measuring tape so that it is snug, but not too tight. Record this measurement.

  3. Step 3 Pick a size

Pick a sleeve size that fits your measurement.

For a tighter fit, order one size smaller than measured.

We currently make elbow sleeves from 8.7" to 15" around the elbow (22–38 cm, 2XS to 3XL). If your measurement falls outside that, we do not make a sleeve for it yet — message us and we will tell you straight.

Elbow sleeves fit true to the chart, so there is no size-up or size-down rule to apply. Measure, then take the size your number lands in — unless you specifically want it tighter, in which case the tip above applies.

The original illustrated guide
Stoic elbow sleeve sizing guide illustration. Step 1, measure the circumference of the elbow joint while slightly flexed, about 30 degrees. Step 2, tighten the tape so it is snug but not too tight, and record the measurement. Step 3, pick a sleeve size that fits your measurement. Tip: for a tighter fit, order one size smaller than measured. Its printed chart lists seven sizes, in centimetres with a rough bodyweight band in pounds: X-Small 24 to 26 centimetres, 90 to 120 pounds; Small 26 to 28, 120 to 150; Medium 28 to 30, 150 to 170; Large 30 to 32, 170 to 200; X-Large 32 to 34, 200 to 230; XX-Large 34 to 36, 230 to 250; XXX-Large 36 to 38, 250 pounds and up.
This print starts at X-Small. XX-Small (22–24 cm) is a size we sell and it is not on it. The printed chart also carries a rough bodyweight column, which the chart above leaves out — two lifters at the same weight do not have the same elbow, and the measurement is the thing the sleeve has to fit.
