Singlet sizing

How to choose your singlet size

Singlets are sized by body weight, not by a tape measure.

How to choose

  1. Step 1 Measure weight

Measuring your body weight during a normal training session is most accurate for most athletes.

  2. Step 2 Choose size

Choose the correct size based on the chart below. Singlets are sized for a snug fit.

Size chart

Your body weight during a normal training session. Sizes come from what is currently in the catalogue; the weight bands are the ones printed on Stoic’s original singlet chart.
Size Body weight (lb)
XS 100–120 lb X-Small
S 120–140 lb Small
M 140–170 lb Medium
L 170–200 lb Large
XL 200–230 lb X-Large
2XL 230–250 lb XX-Large
3XL 250–270 lb 3XLarge
4XL 270–300 lb 4XLarge

The bands run from 100 lb to 300 lb. Outside that we do not make a singlet yet — message us and we will tell you straight.

Not every colourway is made in every size. The size selector on the product page is the authority on what that particular singlet comes in.

On the edge of two bands? Size up. Of the customers who mentioned singlet fit in reviews, those who found it small outnumbered those who found it large eleven to one.

The original illustrated guide
Stoic singlet sizing guide illustration. Step 1, measure weight: measuring your body weight during a normal training session is most accurate for most athletes. Step 2, choose size: choose the correct size based on the chart, and note that singlets are sized for a snug fit. Its printed chart lists eight sizes by body weight in pounds: X-Small 100 to 120, Small 120 to 140, Medium 140 to 170, Large 170 to 200, X-Large 200 to 230, XX-Large 230 to 250, XXX-Large 250 to 270, XXXX-Large 270 to 300.
The weight bands in the chart above are transcribed from this print, which is the only place Stoic publishes them. Its eight sizes match what is stocked today, so nothing on it is out of date — it is simply unreadable at the size the page used to serve it.
